Why choose me?
My path to becoming a celebrant has been shaped by more than 35 years of working with people — listening to their stories, supporting them through change and helping them find the words when they are not always easy to find.
But it has been shaped by life, too. I know something of love and long partnership, blended families and new beginnings, as well as loss and learning to live differently after someone you love has died.
Alongside my celebrant work, I am an experienced coach and a volunteer lay chaplain. All of these threads come together in the way I work: with warmth, curiosity, calm and a genuine interest in people.
I notice the small details. I listen for the stories behind the stories. And I believe the best ceremonies make room for all of it — the laughter, the love, the quirks, the complicated bits and the things that might otherwise go unsaid.
Because a ceremony shouldn't simply sound beautiful.

Cambridgeshire, France, Portugal & the places that shape us
My work is rooted in Cambridgeshire, but France and Portugal are also an important part of my story.
I have lived in both countries, and their slower rhythms, old buildings, beautiful gardens, long tables, candlelight and quiet sense of ritual have all influenced the way I think about gathering, celebrating and marking the important moments in our lives.
Today, those influences are woven gently into my work.
I lead weddings, funerals and other ceremonies across the UK, France and Portugal — and I am always happy to travel further for a story that takes me somewhere new.
